We love our dogs, at least the people I hang out with do. I would be a total nut to think that everyone feels about their dogs like I do.
I feel the best way you can show your love for your girl dog is by responsibly having her spayed at six months of age.
GreenePets sponsors programs to make this happen in Greene County, TN.
Our local Animal Control is still having to euthanize too many animals each year. This is at the expense of property owners in Greene County, because it is our taxes that fund this euthanization program and pay these workers salaries. I would prefer to see our Animal Control people working against animal abuse instead of collecting unwanted animals and putting them down after three days. Euthanasia is not the way, so let's work together to stop the birth from happening on the front end by spaying the female. Let's work toward a five year moratorium on puppies being born in Greene County. Please join us.
Why spay and not also neuter? In my personal opinion, with very limited funds, it is very important to me to spay as many females as possible. After all, it is the female who is producing the litter; spayed females mean no litters. GreenePets' primary focus is on spaying the females first with our available funds.
As funding permits, Spay Today will help spay any female dog, regardless of family income. This program is conducted by agreement with area veterinarians and special coupon promotions run at different times throughout the year, again as funding permits.
*Our special Spay Today program funding is only for females.*
