I find it very hard to believe that in the past seven years,
there are only four prosecuted cases of animal abuse in our county.
People, we are not doing our jobs of protecting the animals.
Animal abuse has been proven to correlate with domestic violence, and I will be finding the statistics on domestic violence in our county to compare the lack of prosecution or anything being done to help our animals.
Animal Rescue Groups work hard to alleviate abusive circumstances that animals are forced to live in within our county.
The following groups are operating in Greene County constantly fighting for the rights of animals.
If you have an issue in the county or city that you feel has not been resolved by Animal Control, please take it to your commissioner, alderman, mayor, Sheriff or Chief of Police. Don't fail the animals, or wait for someone else to step up. You are all they have and they desperately need your voice, so please continue the fight until someone responds.
